Here’s a painting that I made last year featuring a totem pole of some of my favorite critters. These flowers are called Bat Flowers, or Tacca flowers. Stick bug, Puss Moth Caterpillar, and my beloved Kingfisher.

The assignment was to choose an unfamiliar vegetable, research it, and introduce it to an audience who is completely unacquainted with it in a mock magazine spread. The objective was to provide concise information and render visuals as interesting and appealing as possible.
